Dried Meat Storage Instructions

If you're looking for high-quality dried meat products that are free from preservatives, KuierKos is your go-to destination. Our biltong and droëwors contain only salt as a preservative, so storing the dried meat properly is important to ensure its freshness.

Due to the higher humidity in the Netherlands and other EU countries, our products tend to spoil quickly if not stored correctly. To help you keep your biltong and droëwors fresh, we've provided storage instructions below.

Storage instructions:

For best storage, keep your biltong or droëwors in the freezer in a brown paper bag without plastic. When you want to eat it, take it out and let it thaw for 3 to 5 minutes. Freezing it will help keep the moisture in.

If you don't want to freeze it, you can store it in a brown paper bag (without plastic) in the fridge. However, this won't preserve the meat and it will continue to dry out. We recommend consuming it within three days if stored in the fridge.
