Rugby Rivalry
Dear KuierKos friends,
What a rugby weekend we had at Haarlem Rugby Club!
The Bok supporters arrived dressed in their best South African gear, while the Kiwi supporters proudly showed off their All Blacks colours. There was such a great atmosphere, with plenty of cheering, singing and, of course, a little friendly rivalry!
And as always, Andreas was behind the braai. 🔥 Our KuierKos boerewors broodjies with chakalaka sauce were a huge hit. The smell of boerewors cooking on the braai was absolutely amazing, and personally, I think we may have lured a few vegetarians over to the dark side! 😂🌭
Then came the rugby…
The Boks lost to the All Blacks on Saturday, and honestly, it was painful! There were moments when the South African supporters became rather vocal, as you do when you really, really want your team to win! 😂 Our guys fought hard, but on the day, the All Blacks were simply the better team.
But we’re not giving up!
This Saturday, 29 August, we are back at Haarlem Rugby Club to support our boys once again. We’re hoping Rassie has had a good talk with the team and sorted a few things out! 🇿🇦😉
And if you haven’t joined us at the club before, this is a great weekend to come along. Haarlem Rugby Club is a lovely, family-friendly place with plenty of space for children to run around and play. There are rugby balls available for the younger kids, so they can have their own fun while the parents enjoy the rugby, a drink and something lekker from the braai.
There are spots to sit both inside the clubhouse and outside, and the atmosphere is exactly what we love about rugby: relaxed, social and lekker gezellig.
So grab your Bok shirt, bring the family and your friends, and come and join us for another Saturday of rugby, braai, biltong and a lekker South African vibe. 🇿🇦🏉
