KuierKos Festive Menu 2025

Dear Friends,

Christmas is always a busy (and delicious) time at KuierKos. Every year it feels like Christmas sneaks up a little earlier—maybe it's just my imagination, but I start thinking about the menu while it's still summer! After the holidays we dive into recipe testing, which of course comes with plenty of tasting. Tough job, I know.

For us, Christmas is about family, traditions, and of course, food. And if you're an expat living abroad, it's the little things you miss most—the chaos of being surrounded by people who've known you your whole life. Now, we can't deliver the full family circus: Oom Piet (your oupa's younger brother) trying to kiss you on the mouth and forgetting he already tried, your mom giving you all the silly tasks, your brother-in-law who always knows best, or that one relative who drinks too much and spills all the family secrets.

What we can bring is the feeling of home—the full tummies and full hearts that come after a meal shared together. That quiet moment after the chaos, when you sit around the fire, laugh about the day, swap stories, and remember when life was simpler.
