It should be pronounced in its South African way as 'Raggels Fontein' Chenin Blanc. For this wine, Boschendal uses grapes from vineyards in both the Stellenbosch and Paarl regions, both part of the larger Coastal Region. The vines used are between 4 and 12 years old and are situated at an average elevation of 80 meters above sea level. It's an astonishingly delicious glass of Chenin Blanc, distinctly fruity, with ample bitterness and acidity that come together to create a very pleasant whole. Our favorite with (spicy) Asian dishes.
